Ross Juniors Football Club

Ross under 11's (2008/2009)The club, since it’s formation in June 2004, has gone from strength to strength. We have a very successful playing structure and have recently received the F.A West Midlands Regional Club Award, a stunning achievement.

We have an ever growing band of dedicated volunteers who provide their time on the committee to ensure that the club is run effectively; the club is now F.A. Chartered Standards recognised and has an ever improving structure. The club also now runs its own annual 7-a-side tournament each June, in 2009 over 50 teams competed in it. The club play all home games at the Ross Rowing Club pitches and run weekly training for all age ranges at Rowing Club pitches in summer and John Kyrle High School on the astro turf during winter.

Ross Juniors in the 2009-2010 season had 7 teams competing in leagues ranging from under 9’s to under 16’s. In addition to this we have over 60 children eagerly taking part in training sessions every Monday Evening for 6 to 9 year olds and training sessions for special needs children on a Thursday night. The club has recently submitted alongside the Herefordshire FA a development plan, the aim is to have two teams representing Ross in each age range from under 8 to 16 in the forthcoming years.
2010-2011 season will see Ross enter more teams than ever in the Herefordshire League including for the first time a mens team who will be playing Sunday in the HFA Sunday League. Their will also be more Junior aged teams as well including a second Under 11's side and two Under 8 sides.  In total there will be 10 compared to 7 last season.

Each team now has at least one coach who has undertaken their Level 1 FA Coaching badge.
The club has 2 welfare officers and a full set of policies ranging from child protection to equal opportunities, these are available on request. The club is ever growing and is now starting to sell club merchandise, arrange visits to Premiership matches (157 went to AVFC in November, 50 to England vs Hungary) and has it's own summer 6-a-side tournament. Over 100 boys going on end of season tours and already this year teams from Ross have played Academy sides from Aston Villa, Torquay United, Bristol City and Swindon Town.
